The seminar of “Cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong to facilitate commercialization of Hi-New technology” held today during the 8th China International High and New Technology Fair.

This seminar is hosted by Hong Kong Trade and Development Bureau, participated by Hong Kong Productivity Promotion Bureau, Shenzhen Trade and Industry Bureau, Shenzhen Technology and Information Bureau, and etc.

Mr. Huang Jinghui, vice president of Hong Kong Trade and Development Bureau, said that Hong Kong is the best partner to commercialize the inland technology achievements and to expand overseas market. Shenzhen and Hong Kong have signed Hi-New Science and Technology Cooperation Memorandum, which made clear the target of mutual cooperation and took off an important step to create a “Silicon Valley” by mutual cooperation.

The principals of Shenzhen Industry and Trade Bureau and Science and Technology Bureau said that the characteristics of mutual cooperation had changed from folk to government. They hope that it can accelerate the process of transferring science and technology commercialization through mutual cooperation.

It is said that, after this Hi-Tech Fair, Shenzhen will take part in Hong Kong “Innovation Technology and Design Expo” to be held on Nov 29th. Hong Kong even set the second day of the Expo as “Shenzhen Sci-Tech Day”, and will hold a series of special activities to facilitate the communication and cooperation of mutual science and technology enterprises.
